Céline Dion returns to the stage in Paris after more than six years away

Céline Dion performed her first full concert in over six years on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, near Paris. The Canadian singer, who has been away from the stage since March 2020, opened this series of shows with an emotional performance in front of her audience.

The 58-year-old artist began the evening with On ne change pas. She paused during the opening seconds of the song, overcome with emotion, before thanking the audience for their support during her absence.

The concert, largely performed in French, included hits such as Pour que tu m’aimes encore, All By Myself, and My Heart Will Go On. This initial date kicks off a series of concerts scheduled in Nanterre until October 17, with additional performances planned for 2027.

Céline Dion revealed in December 2022 that she was diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle spasms. She subsequently canceled several dates of her Courage tour to undergo treatment and vocal and physical rehabilitation.

The singer had made a few sporadic appearances, including a performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games in July 2024. However, the concert in Nanterre marks her first full performance since the one in Newark, United States, in March 2020.
