Boxing: Joshua and Fury to clash on December 11 in Cardiff
The two former British heavyweight champions will finally share the ring after years of negotiations. Their long-promised duel is now official.
Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will face off on Friday, December 11, 2026, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, promoter Turki Alalshikh confirmed on Thursday.
The fight features two former British world champions who have dominated the heavyweight division for much of the last decade without ever meeting in the ring. Both were subsequently defeated by Oleksandr Usyk, who became the undisputed champion of the division.
The choice of the United Kingdom was one of the final details to be settled in organizing this showdown. Joshua’s camp insisted on a home fight, while Madison Square Garden in New York was also considered. Ultimately, the Cardiff stadium, which has a retractable roof, will host the event.
Fury, 38, is coming off a victory against Mariusz Wach. Joshua, 36, won against Kristian Prenga by referee stoppage in July.
