Benin Pro League: Eight members appointed to adjudicate disputes ahead of the resumption
Just four days before the resumption of the Beninese championship, the LFPB's disciplinary body is renewed for four years. Appolinaire Dassi leads a team of five full members and three substitutes.
The Professional Football League of Benin (LFPB) has appointed eight members to its Sanctions and Penalties Commission, just four days before the national championship resumes. Appolinaire Dassi will lead the commission.
Decision No. 027/2026/LFPB/PCG/SE, signed on September 21 by the management council president Joël Debally, designates five full members. Bello Aboudou Razack serves as the vice-president, with Vignigbe Zountchémin Valère as the rapporteur, alongside Houinsou Essia Fidèle and Meffon Sèlidji Constance M. Three substitutes complete the body: Amadou Djibril, Chadare Enosch J., and Houngbedji Marlyse K.
The commission is responsible for making initial rulings on disputes, claims, and violations related to LFPB competitions. It can examine reservations that may affect the validation of matches and impose sanctions as stipulated by the League’s regulations, the disciplinary code of the Beninese Football Federation, as well as the statutes of CAF and FIFA.
Members are appointed for a renewable four-year term. Decisions made by the commission can be appealed to the Appeals Commission of the Beninese Football Federation. The elite championship is set to resume on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Appolinaire Dassi has urged referees, match commissioners, club officials, and other stakeholders involved in disciplinary matters to demonstrate transparency and impartiality.
