The General Directorate of Customs of Benin published the list of candidates selected following the medical examination for the direct recruitment exam of 150 officials, open for the year 2024, on Thursday, September 10, 2026. This announcement marks the final phase of the process for the affected candidates, with convocations starting on Friday, September 11.

Communication number 507-C from the General Directorate of Customs presents the list under the title “final results,” while specifying that the candidates are selected pending final verifications and checks. The names are categorized among the customs officers, customs controllers, and technical and administrative staff.

Candidates selected for the positions of controllers and officers must report on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7:00 am to the Military Training Center in Bembéréké. They are summoned for basic common military training, according to the instructions in the official document.

Candidates selected for technical and administrative positions are also expected on the same day and at the same time at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Customs in Cotonou.

This step follows several months of selection. The written exams for the competition were held on July 18, 2026. On July 31, the General Directorate of Customs published a preliminary list of candidates declared eligible, also pending verifications, announcing that they would subsequently be summoned for the medical examination.

The process later included candidates from an additional list and a waiting list. A new medical examination was specifically scheduled for August 28 at the Cotonou Garrison Medical-Social Center for candidates involved in this catch-up phase.

For information regarding the procedure, the General Directorate of Customs directs candidates to its central and regional services as well as its toll-free number 01 91 13 13 13. The announcement from September 10 is signed by the Director General of Customs, Raoul Malèhossou Aboudou.
