Benin – BAC 2025: here is the schedule for optional and sports exams
After the announcement of the results of the first deliberation, candidates eligible for the 2025 Baccalaureate exams are expected for the optional and Physical Education and Sports tests. The Ministry of Higher Education has published the detailed schedule for these evaluations scheduled between July 12 and 15.
SUMMARY
Things are accelerating for the candidates eligible for the sole Baccalaureate session of June 2025. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through the Baccalaureate Office, has made public the schedule of optional tests and those of Physical Education and Sports (EPS). These evaluations will take place over four days, from Saturday, July 12 to Tuesday, July 15.
Saturday, July 12 will be dedicated to two optional subjects: Home Economics from 07:00 to 10:00, then National Languages from 11:00 to 14:00. The tests will continue on Monday, July 14, with Music from 08:00 to 12:00, followed by Drawing in the afternoon from 15:00 to 18:00.
In parallel, physical tests are scheduled the same day, Monday, July 14, in two time slots: from 07:00 to 11:00, then from 14:00 to 18:00. Those who are late will have a last chance on Tuesday, July 15, at the same times, to validate this step.
Second deliberation expected for July 16
At the conclusion of these tests, the second deliberation will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, starting at 14:00, according to the official statement signed by Alphonse da Silva, Director General of the Baccalaureate Office.
It is on this date that the candidates who have passed the supplementary tests will know if they definitively join the list of new graduates.
As a reminder, the results of the first deliberation were announced on Wednesday, July 9. The national success rate stands at 73.02%, a record for the last three years. Of the 79,588 registered candidates, only those declared eligible now participate in the optional and sports tests.
This rate is a significant increase compared to the 56.93% recorded in 2024 and the 63.08% from 2023, signalling an encouraging trend for the Beninese educational system.
