“Since I came to the USA, it’s been nothing but misfortunes,” TikTok mom Dilara is calling for help.
In a heartbreaking video posted on TikTok, Beninese content creator Jessica Ahodjèmé, known as Maman Dilara, shared her distress over a series of hardships she has faced since arriving in the United States. She mentions a betrayal, legal troubles, and her desire to return to Africa to start over.

The Beninese influencer, visibly moved, recounts the difficulties she’s faced since settling in the United States. According to her, the American dream turned into a nightmare. “It’s true that it’s a good country, a country of opportunities as they say. But it wasn’t an opportunity for me. It was misfortune after misfortune, tears after tears.”, she said in tears.
Deep distress and a return considered
The TikTok creator says she lost everything because she trusted someone close. “I ruined everything because of the trust I had in someone. And the person succeeded in what they did to me,” she confides, before specifying that this person allegedly spread a compromising video of her. “If you see the video, it’s ridiculous. I wasn’t even dressed,” she lamented.
Today, Maman Dilara says she is facing legal troubles for which she claims to be innocent. “I have a problem with the justice system even though I hadn’t done anything. I’m the one who suffered everything. I didn’t say anything,” she explains, in tears.
She adds that her only wish is to find peace with her children. “My children are all I have in my life. And I came here because of them,” she says. The TikTok creator also expressed her pain over the betrayal she suffered. “You managed to break my heart, to break Dilara and Merveille’s heart, to break the heart of my current state,” she added.
