Asked to choose a Real Madrid player he would like to recruit, the Catalan midfielder Pedri named Kylian Mbappé, who has had a dazzling season with Real Madrid.
FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri did not dodge the question. Invited to appear on El Hormiguero after his recent return from injury, the Spanish international was asked about the Real Madrid player he would like to see arrive in Catalonia. His answer came swiftly: “If I could recruit a Real Madrid player for Barcelona, who would I choose? Kylian Mbappé.”
Having arrived at Real Madrid in 2024 from Paris Saint-Germain, the French forward is enjoying a season at a very high level. At 27, he currently leads both La Liga’s top scorers and the UEFA Champions League. Mbappé has, for the moment, tallied 23 league goals and 13 in the Champions League, confirming his status as the team’s attacking leader.
