Parakou: A hairdresser gets 10 years in prison for s3xual offenses on minors
A 42-year-old hairdresser has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, with 5 years to be served without parole, by the Parakou court for sexual offenses against minors.

According to the narrative of events by the National Women’s Institute, the accused lured his victims in order to sexually abuse them. The case traces back to 2022 in the 3rd district of Parakou. The hairdresser would draw girls aged 10 to 13 into his salon and play them pornographic videos.
After filling their innocent minds with obscene scenes, he would invite the girls to reenact what they had watched so that he could sexually abuse them.
Caught, he was arrested and handed over to the police. Following the legal proceedings initiated against him, he was sentenced on November 8, 2024, to serve ten years in prison, a penalty of two million, and two million for each of the victims as compensation for damages.
After this verdict, he appealed the judgment. On appeal, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, 5 of which will be served without parole, and to pay two million in fines, two million each for the victims for damages and injuries, for sexual offenses against minors under 13 years of age.
