Nigeria: Unpaid iPhone 17 Pro Max leads police to shotgun

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in Abia State, Nigeria, following a complaint regarding an iPhone 17 Pro Max obtained through a cash-on-delivery system that was allegedly never paid for.

Abia State police claim that the suspect, Ugochukwu Precious, subsequently threatened the seller and enlisted individuals to intimidate him after payment requests were made.

Officers from the Rapid Response Squad apprehended him on Tuesday, September 22. The following day, investigators reported finding a shotgun as they continued their inquiries.

Police spokesperson Maureen Chinaka stated that the investigation is ongoing and law enforcement is still seeking additional individuals suspected of being connected to the suspect.

The man is expected to be brought before the court at the conclusion of the investigation. The allegations against him remain accusations at this stage.
