After four decades of reggae, Ismaël Isaac is transforming his jubilee into a discographic project: 40 classics compiled in a box set, an unreleased track in preparation, and a major concert in Abidjan.
Ismaël Isaac will celebrate his 40-year career on November 7, 2026, at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan. The Ivorian reggae singer is also preparing a box set featuring 40 tracks from his catalog, along with a new single, both projects announced to accompany this anniversary celebration.
The event is now officially listed on the agenda of the Parc des Expositions, which describes it as a celebration of the artist’s 40 years in the industry. This confirmation sets a date for a concert that was previously announced without a specific date when Ismaël Isaac detailed his preparations in February.
In an interview with Méridien, which was republished by CrocInfos on September 16, the “Ganganba de Treichville” explained that he aims to select 40 songs that have marked his journey from 1986 to 2026. The chosen number corresponds to his four decades in the industry, while an unreleased track is also in the works.
The artist also mentioned a celebration that would be open to multiple generations of the Ivorian music scene. Alpha Blondy and Tiken Jah Fakoly are expected to be involved in the project, while Himra and representatives from the zouglou genre were also mentioned. These names do not constitute a definitive lineup published by the Parc des Expositions.
Ismaël Isaac traces the beginning of his professional journey to 1986. His story initially developed with the Keïta brothers before he embarked on a solo career that established him as a prominent figure in Ivorian reggae and took him to stages both in Côte d’Ivoire and abroad.
His dialogue with a younger generation had already taken a discographic form in 2025: Ismaël Isaac appears on “LE TEMPS” by Himra, released on March 30 as part of the album “BIG AKA 4 AKA KAI”.
