Duncan Sheik rose to fame in 1996 with “Barely Breathing,” a song that earned him a Grammy nomination. He later developed a career as a composer for theater and film.
Along with Steven Sater, he composed the music for Spring Awakening. The show won several Tony Awards as well as a Grammy. A new production is set to begin previews in New York on November 27, with an official opening scheduled for December 17.
