L.A.X marries Ella in Malta, eight months after their engagement

L.A.X and Ella tied the knot in Malta on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The singer confirmed their marriage on Instagram, exactly eight months after their engagement.
In a video shared with his audience, the Nigerian artist introduced the couple during the ceremony and stated that he is legally married to the woman he describes as the love of his life. He also sent a heartfelt message to Malta, where the union was celebrated.
The engagement was announced on January 16, 2026. L.A.X had shared images of a proposal organized by the water, featuring the initials “D & E” in reference to Damilola and Ella.
TheCable Lifestyle and P.M. News Nigeria also reported on the ceremony held on September 16 and included the singer’s direct confirmation. Both outlets identified the bride as Ella and confirmed that the wedding took place in Malta.
L.A.X, whose real name is Damilola Afolabi, rose to fame in 2013 with “Caro,” recorded with Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment. The track was nominated for the most popular single category at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards 2014.
