This surge in views brings renewed attention to one of the Ivorian singer’s most well-known tracks, twenty-six years after its initial launch.
The video provides visuals for the first time to this song from the album Femme de feu. “Amoudjou” had remained popular at celebrations, weddings, and in the collective memory of Côte d’Ivoire over the years without an official music video.
The return of the track coincides with a significant period for Gadji Celi. The former captain of the Éléphants is preparing for a major concert on October 31, 2026, at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan, which is being touted as a highlight of the celebration of his forty years in the music industry.
