The Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido will be among the inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame in 2026, in Atlanta. Organizers announced that the artist is part of the new class that will be officially honored at a ceremony scheduled for June 1 in the historic Westside neighborhood of Atlanta. This distinction recognizes Davido’s influence on contemporary music and his reach across Black culture worldwide.

The Timeless artist thus joins several major entertainment figures also honored this year, including Ludacris, gospel singer Paul S. Morton, and former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson. With this recognition, Davido places himself among African artists already celebrated by the institution, notably Fela Kuti, an iconic figure and pioneer of Afrobeat.

Created by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus, the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame honors individuals who have left a lasting mark on the history of Black music and entertainment around the world. The laureates receive a commemorative plaque installed along Atlanta’s Cultural Walk, in recognition of their contribution to the global influence of Black culture.
