Detained by security forces while in possession of 48 kilograms of illicit and substandard pharmaceuticals, she has been placed under a detention order and brought before the Court for the Repression of Economic Offenses and Terrorism (CRIET).
An arrest following an unjustified absence
The case broke out following the prolonged and unexcused absence of the health worker from her workplace. As her superiors sought to contact her, news of her police custody for alleged trafficking of counterfeit drugs emerged.
According to media outlet Peace FM, the operation led to the exact seizure of 48 kg of falsified medications.
