Ouaké: two accomplices behind bars after a dispute over a stolen motorcycle in Sèmèrè
A police investigation carried out by the Sèmèrè district police in the Ouaké municipality has unraveled a motorcycle theft case marked by a dispute between two alleged accomplices. Presented to the judicial authority, the two individuals were placed under detention order.
According to information from Matin Libre, the case began when a prisoner with a long history of criminal records asked his accomplice, who was still free, to sell a HAOJUE brand motorcycle to obtain financial resources. Faced with the second’s refusal, the prisoner initially attempted mediation through a nearby electrician. Following this failure, he orchestrated the forceful recovery of the vehicle by individuals recruited from the Alédjo district.
Unaware that his executors had already acted, the prisoner filed a written complaint against his partner from his cell, triggering judicial intervention.
Investigation by the Republican Police and Document Forgery
Following instructions from the public prosecutor near the Djougou first instance court, the Republican Police opened an investigation. Investigations conducted by the Sèmèrè police revealed that the registration card and license plate of the vehicle were forged. The investigation concluded that the two men had initially stolen the motorcycle together before clashing over its use.
Call to the Legitimate Owner
Thanks to data from the National Agency for Land Transport (ANaTT), the true owner was identified: it is Mr. APOUH SOULEMANA Moustakin, registered with the plate 2DB 9469 RB. The Republican Police invites the interested party to come to the Sèmèrè police station to complete the formalities for the restitution of his property.
