Off to a successful start for Nigeria at AFCON 2025. The Super Eagles picked up their three points after their victory over Tanzania. Against the very tenacious Taifa Stars, the Nigerians ultimately prevailed 2-1.
Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman scored for Nigeria. Charles M’Mombwa netted Tanzania’s only goal. With this victory, the Super Eagles take the lead of Group C, awaiting the result of the other group match between Tunisia and Uganda.
