Benin: Moele-Bénin and FCBE form a coalition for the 2026 legislative elections
The Moele-Bénin and Forces Cauris pour un Bénin Émergent (FCBE) parties formalized a parliamentary coalition this Friday.

The agreement was signed at FCBE’s national headquarters in Godomey, in the presence of the two leaders, Jacques Ayadji (Moele-Bénin) and Paul Hounkpè (FCBE).
This alliance reflects the two political formations’ desire to pool their forces to have greater influence in the next legislative election.
According to the signatories, the coalition aims to strengthen the opposition’s representation in Parliament and to offer a credible political alternative to the presidential majority.
The practical details of this agreement or coalition should be clarified in the coming days.
It should be recalled that Paul Hounkpè and the party Force Cauris pour un Bénin Émergent had already signed a governance agreement with the parties Union progressiste le renouveau of Me Joseph DJOGBENOU and Bloc Républicain of Minister Abdoulaye Bio-Tchané.
