Benin: Ban on selling and requiring the use of activity workbooks in middle and high schools
The Departmental Director of Secondary, Technical and Vocational Education of Atlantique reminded, in a circular dated September 25, 2025, that it is strictly forbidden to sell or to impose the use of activity books in public and private schools. Any violation will be subject to disciplinary sanctions.

In the document signed by Doctor Mathias Amour Ahomadegbe, it is stated that despite the instructions in force, some teachers continue to engage in this practice in their classrooms. A situation that led the departmental authority to reiterate the firm ban on the sale and use of these teaching materials.
