The future of Antoine Griezmann seems to be written far from Europe. The Atlético Madrid striker would have found an agreement with Orlando City SC, a Major League Soccer club. According to Marca, relayed by Fabrizio Romano, the 34-year-old French international will join the American club in the summer of 2026, once his contract expires. He would thus sign freely with the Florida-based franchise.
“Agreement reached for a free transfer from Atlético in July 2026,” wrote Fabrizio Romano on X. “After the rejection of the March deal, an agreement has been reached for the summer. Griezmann will head to the United States this week,” he added. Still under the orders of Diego Simeone, the 2018 World Cup champion should therefore finish the season with the Colchoneros before turning a major page in his career. On Sunday, Antoine Griezmann was still lined up for the clash against Real Madrid, which they lost 3-2 in La Liga, proof that his departure is not yet imminent.
