Ariel Sheney: Grief and concert costs hinder his return

Ariel Sheney is not yet planning a major concert in Côte d’Ivoire. The Ivorian singer explains that the cost of such a large-scale event currently exceeds what he can afford on his own, as he is still in a period of mourning and is gradually resuming his musical activities.

In a statement shared on September 18 by YOP L-FRII, the artist believes that organizing a concert now requires financial resources amounting to several million FCFA. He considers it nearly impossible to arrange such an event by himself at this time, while emphasizing his desire to reconnect with his audience when the conditions are right.

This statement comes at a time when DJ Kerozen has publicly encouraged him to aim for a major venue, specifically the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan. This encouragement has reignited expectations for a solo concert by Ariel Sheney, although no date, ticket sales, or organizational details have been announced.

The singer also links his schedule to a painful personal sequence. His wife, Nadiya Sabeh, passed away in December 2025, followed by his father a few days later. Ariel Sheney subsequently slowed down his activities before gradually returning to music in 2026.

This musical comeback was marked on August 28 with the release of “Ce Que Dieu A Fait,” a song dedicated to Nadiya Sabeh and credited to her on streaming platforms. The official video published on his YouTube channel has now surpassed 2.6 million views, after entering the YouTube Top 3 in Côte d’Ivoire at the beginning of September.

However, Ariel Sheney assures that the idea of a concert has not been abandoned. He wishes to wait until he has the necessary resources and is personally ready before returning to a major Ivorian stage.
