The session opened in the institution’s conference room, located on the ex-INFOSEC site in Cotonou.

The opening ceremony featured a speech by the president of the CENA, followed by a presentation of the training’s objectives. The training aims to strengthen the technical and professional skills of those called on to take part in organizing and running electoral operations, ahead of the upcoming elections.

On this first day, several essential modules were delivered. Participants were trained on the roles and responsibilities of electoral officers, the offenses and sanctions provided for by electoral law, as well as on the presentation and completion of electoral documents.

The presentations, enriched by interactive exchanges, helped participants better grasp the texts and procedures in force, with a view to harmonization and increased efficiency in the field.

The training of trainers continues this Friday, December 19, 2025, with the aim of consolidating the gains and preparing trainers able to effectively supervise electoral officers deployed across the country.
