Yan Diomandé, new signing for Real Madrid, explained the reasons that led him to join the Spanish club rather than another European team. The 19-year-old Ivorian international recently left RB Leipzig to commit to the Merengues. He signed a seven-year contract, tying him to the Madrid club until 2033.

Asked by Real Madrid TV about the motivations behind his choice, the young winger gave a straightforward answer. For him, joining Real Madrid represented an opportunity that was impossible to refuse. “Because it’s the best club in the world,” Diomandé replied when invited to explain his decision.

The young Ivorian also mentioned the special significance of an offer coming from Real Madrid. “When Madrid calls you, you can’t say no. It’s as simple as that. I am proud and happy because it was my dream,” he added. At only 19, Diomandé is set to take a new step in his young career under José Mourinho’s management. Real Madrid is now counting on his potential to establish himself as a long-term member of the Madrid squad.
