The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the date and venue of the draw for the 2026 Africa Women Cup of Nations. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, the host country of the competition. This edition will mark a historic turning point, as sixteen teams will participate in the tournament for the first time.

Morocco, automatically qualified as hosts, and Nigeria, the defending champions, will be there. They will be joined by Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia.

The final tournament of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will be held from March 17 to April 3, 2026, still in Morocco, with CAF’s stated aim to cement the rise of women’s football on the continent.
