Scorpion Kings Live: 70,000 fans expected at FNB Stadium

More than 70,000 spectators are expected on September 19, 2026, at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg for Scorpion Kings Live, the show headlined by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. Bontle Modiselle and Robot Boii have been selected to host the evening.

The two South African personalities will lead the event, while veteran radio host Baba Mthethwa will serve as the main commentator. This role distribution was announced on September 15, just four days before the concert.

At the center of the event, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small will return to their joint identity as Scorpion Kings. The duo has played a significant role in bringing amapiano from South African stages to an international audience, blending electronic productions with voices and rhythms from the townships.

The official site confirms the date, location, and the presence of both headliners. General admission seating is already reported as sold out, while the standing area near the stage is also nearing capacity.

Bontle Modiselle, a dancer, actress, and presenter, will share the microphone with Robot Boii, an artist known for combining music, dance, and humor. The stadium’s schedule includes a pre-show from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by the main show until 11:30 pm.
