On Sky90 – The Football Debate, Matthäus deplored the Brazilian international’s repetitive attitudes, while Babbel denounced his exaggerated dives on fouls. “This has been going on for years. Vinicius is, of course, a great player, but he constantly provokes“, Matthäus said via Mundo Deportivo. “When we finally manage to contain him on the pitch, he only complains and whines.” For his part, Babbel added: “I respect his talent, but seeing him fall and roll around fourteen times at every contact, I simply don’t like that.“
