Nigeria: Ooni of Ife publicly presents his twin sons
The royal house of Ife held the public presentation of the twin princes on Friday, September 11, at the Ile-Oodua palace, following traditional rites.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi, publicly introduced their twin sons on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Ile-Oodua palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
The monarch appeared with the two princes before traditional chiefs, public officials, royal family members, and guests. Images released from the palace show the welcoming ceremony held after the rites mandated by court tradition.
Local media outlet Ife City Blog, which shared a statement from the palace, noted that this event marked the first official meeting between the Ooni and his sons since their birth. Royal protocol required the completion of the rites before this presentation.
The birth of the twins was announced by the monarch on May 15. A traditional naming ceremony subsequently took place at the Ile-Ife palace on May 31.
