Manchester City: Enzo Maresca tipped to replace Pep Guardiola

Manchester City is already preparing for life after Pep Guardiola. The Manchester club would consider entrusting the first team’s reins to Enzo Maresca in the event of the Spanish manager’s departure. Guardiola’s future at the Etihad Stadium is indeed fueling widespread speculation. Several rumors speak of a possible departure of the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach as early as this summer.
If no definitive decision has yet been communicated by the Catalan manager, Manchester City would already have identified its priority successor. The information was revealed by Fabrizio Romano, transfer market specialist, on his X account:« Manchester City will let Pep Guardiola decide his future. » He added: « As has been reported since January, Enzo Maresca is the favourite candidate if/when Pep decides to leave. » Finally, Romano notes: « Despite the rumors regarding Vincent Kompany, Manchester City really rates Maresca. »
