Grammy Awards 2026: Ayra Starr, Davido and Omah Lay among the nominees
The nominees for the Grammy Awards 2026 have now been announced. Nigerian stars Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Ayra Starr and Omah Lay are among the artists vying for the prestigious American music awards.

Nigerian Afrobeat is once again asserting itself on the global stage. Several Nigerian superstars are among the finalists for the Grammy Awards 2026, whose official list was unveiled Friday night by the Recording Academy.
Davido and Omah Lay stand out in the Best African Music Performance category thanks to their joint track « With You ». They face continental heavyweights like Burna Boy, nominated for « Love », and the duo Ayra Starr – Wizkid, competing with « Gimme Dat ».
Already a Grammy winner in 2021, Burna Boy also earns a nomination in the prestigious Best Global Music Album category for his album « No Sign of Weakness ».
