A new bomb threat raised concern on Saturday at the France Télévisions headquarters in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. Late in the afternoon, state services reported a risk of an explosive device, prompting the group’s management to order the immediate evacuation of the premises. The franceinfo teams had to interrupt part of their live broadcasts. The alert caused disruptions on TNT channel 16 as well as on the website franceinfo.fr.

According to franceinfo, police and a canine unit were immediately dispatched to the scene to carry out an all-clear search. A large security perimeter was set up around the building, where several dozen employees could be seen leaving calmly, as shown in a video posted on X by a journalist present at the scene.

A report sent around 5 p.m.

According to a police source, the report was made around 5 p.m. and mentioned a “possible explosive device” inside the headquarters. As a precaution, France Télévisions’ management decided to evacuate the site around 5:30 p.m., while personnel from the prefecture of police carried out the necessary checks. The canine searches lasted a little over an hour.

Around 7 p.m., the all-clear was officially confirmed by a spokesperson for the group. Teams were then allowed to re-enter the building. This return ended the uncertainty and allowed activities to gradually resume.

As a reminder, on Saturday, November 15, the premises of RMC–BFM, also located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, had to be evacuated for more than two and a half hours for similar reasons, before a return to normal was announced late in the afternoon.
