ENSA: 96.15% success rate for the 22nd cohort of the preparatory internship for the State Major Diploma.

The results presentation ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in the presence of the Minister of National Defense, Gildas Bignon Agonkan, the Chief of General Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces, General Fructueux Gbaguidi, as well as military hierarchy and several guests.

Out of the 26 trainees in this class, 25 completed their training successfully, resulting in a success rate of 96.15%. The course prepares officers to carry out tasks of processing and analysis within national or multinational headquarters, in times of peace, crisis, or war.

The training also focused on unit management and organizational leadership. The program particularly included teachings dedicated to command exercise, military operations, and general knowledge.

The trainees additionally participated in educational outings in Benin and abroad, as well as seminars and study missions. Within the framework of a partnership between ENSA and the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Parakou, they also followed the coursework of the professional Master 2 in strategic studies, security, and defense policy.

ENSA aims to modernize its infrastructure

The commander of ENSA, Lieutenant Colonel Jean Olou, praised the class’s results while alerting to the state of the institution’s infrastructure. According to him, the current facilities “no longer meet modern training standards.”

The official presented a project aimed at equipping the school with a 300-seat amphitheater, modern furniture and teaching equipment, as well as a parade ground. He also wishes to enhance ENSA’s capacity to accommodate more African and foreign trainees.

The Minister of National Defense reaffirmed the state’s commitment to military training tailored to contemporary demands. He presented ENSA as a tool for training and resilience for the armed forces.

Addressing the graduates, Gildas Agonkan emphasized their future role as advisors and designers within the staffs. He urged them to demonstrate loyalty, integrity, and intellectual rigor, reminding them that command positions carry significant responsibilities.

The ceremony concluded with the awarding of diplomas to the graduates, the distinction of the top students of the class, and a group photo.
