Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau is a tropical country located on the Atlantic coast of West Africa. It is known for its national parks and wildlife. The wooded Bijagos Archipelago, sparsely populated, is a protected biosphere reserve. Its main island, Bubaque, is part of the Orango Islands National Park, where saltwater hippopotamuses live. On the mainland lies the capital, Bissau, a port whose old town center features Portuguese colonial buildings.
