Council of Ministers: several decrees adopted in the diplomatic, social, and energy sectors
The government adopted several decrees during Wednesday’s Council of Ministers meeting.

They relate to different but strategic sectors for the modernization of public administration and the consolidation of the national legal framework.
The first decree now specifies the procedure for concluding headquarters agreements between the State and international organizations operating in Benin.
A second decree sets the conditions and procedures applicable to headquarters agreements concluded with foreign associations, foundations and non-governmental organizations.
It also details the various benefits these organizations may be entitled to in the course of their activities in the country.
Another decree regulates minimum energy performance standards, as well as the labeling system applicable to electric lamps and new household appliances.
The stated objective is to better guide consumers and to strengthen energy efficiency in the country.
The government also appointed the members of the National Commission for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, marking a new step in the preservation and promotion of Benin’s historical and cultural heritage.
This series of measures reflects a commitment to the continuous improvement of the regulatory framework, both in managing relations with international partners and in the energy and cultural sectors.
