Benin: Romuald Wadagni on a working visit this Wednesday in Lomé
The new Beninese head of state, Romuald Wadagni, began a regional tour on Monday, which has taken him to several West African capitals, including Abuja, Niamey, and Ouagadougou.
This Wednesday, June 3, President Romuald Wadagni is expected in Lomé, where he will hold a working session with his Togolese counterpart, Faure Gnassingbé. Indeed, after his consultations in the Sahel, the President of the Republic will head to Togo, before continuing his journey to Abidjan and Accra.
In Togo, Romuald Wadagni will be received by the President of the Council, Faure Gnassingbé. The summit discussions between the two leaders are expected to be intense and will mainly focus on strengthening their historical bilateral relations, boosting economic exchanges, and coordinating responses to regional security challenges.
This crucial face-to-face meeting reflects Benin’s new diplomatic doctrine, firmly embedded in a dynamic of ongoing consultation and good neighborliness with its African peers.
