Benin: Key decisions of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, November 5, 2025
The Council of Ministers met on Wednesday, 05 November 2025, under the presidency of Mr. Patrice TALON, President of the Republic, Head of State, Head of Government. Here are the main decisions:
REGULATORY MEASURES
Submission to the National Assembly, for review and vote, of the draft law establishing the Forests and Wildlife Code in the Republic of Benin ;
Institutionalization of regional economic hubs for light industry and agro-industry ;
Creation of the Forest Development Company (SODEF S.A) and approval of its articles of association ;
Submission to the National Assembly, for review and vote, of the draft law on combating counterfeiting and other offenses against monetary signs in the Republic of Benin ;
Mandates, organization and functioning of the State Legal Agency.
COMMUNICATIONS
Carrying out studies as part of the construction or rehabilitation of eighty (80) water retention structures in various localities of Benin ;
Entering into contracts with various companies as part of the project to build the headquarters of the Regulatory Institutions in Cotonou .
