Benin: key decisions from the Council of Ministers on November 12, 2025

Among the measures taken this Wednesday, we note:

• the creation of the Kouffè–Wari Maro Mountains National Park, a measure that is part of the national policy for conserving and promoting natural heritage.

• In the health sector, the acquisition of new equipment for hospital centers and the expansion of the Allada‑Toffo‑Zè zonal hospital were authorized, with a view to creating a burns unit, thereby strengthening the country’s capacity for specialized care.

• the government approved the contracting for the construction of a Club Med holiday village in Avlékété, in the commune of Ouidah, a project aimed at boosting tourism offerings and the attractiveness of Benin’s coastline.

Finally, several appointments were made, notably at the Ministry of Living Environment and Sustainable Development and at the Ministry of Energy, Water and Mines, as part of strengthening the leadership teams.
