Several landowners say they are facing requirements they consider unjustified from the land administration service.

Before their files are accepted, they are reportedly being asked to obtain a resettlement certificate charged at 80,000 CFA francs per plot, according to information reported by Fraternité FM.

The landowners denounce a lack of clarity, poor communication and pressure that needlessly complicates the process. Many wonder about the justification for such a requirement, especially since elsewhere, notably in Parakou, the operation is reportedly completely free.

Confusion, frustration, suspicion. The atmosphere is growing tense. Several owners are now calling on municipal authorities to reconsider their position before the end of the operation to avoid harm to owners who say they do not have the means to comply with this financial demand.
