This large-scale project covers more than 12 hectares and aims to provide the economic capital with an integrated space dedicated to the cultural and creative industries.

Conceived as a genuine cultural hub, the QCC aims to bring together, in a single location, activities related to artistic innovation, creation, the distribution of works, cultural consumption and the commercialization of artistic goods.

The complex will rely on interconnected facilities designed to host major cultural events and promote exchanges between creators, entrepreneurs and audiences.

Through this project, the authorities intend to position Cotonou as a leading cultural platform in West Africa, capable of engaging with major international artistic centers and generating sustainable synergies to support Beninese creativity.

Ahead of the actual start of construction, the Council gave its approval to contract with a group that has proven expertise, while instructing the relevant ministers to ensure rigorous oversight in order to guarantee the project’s proper execution and the achievement of the assigned objectives.
