Major figures of the Bloc républicain in the 8th constituency, the three men have decided to make way for new faces from the presidential camp.

This decision, reached during a meeting held on the morning of Tuesday, November 18, 2025, marks a turning point in the party’s political positioning in Borgou.

According to information gathered by Le Matinal, one of the three leaders confirmed that this withdrawal is voluntary and aims to offer a first parliamentary experience to younger activists.

The three heavyweights, supported for several years by their local bases, thus want to encourage the emergence of a new political generation. This choice, presented as a “welcome and courageous” act, also reflects a desire for renewal within the eighth electoral constituency.

The Bloc républicain is thus preparing its succession, relying on a process of handover and rejuvenation of its political ranks.
