The FC Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick, has reportedly added Ademola Lookman to his summer shortlist to strengthen the Blaugrana’s offensive sector, according to information from Barca Times.
After a remarkable season with Atalanta Bergamo, Ademola Lookman might leave the Italian club this summer. The Nigerian forward is on Barça’s radar. According to Barça Times and 3cat, the Catalans have made the Super Eagles player their plan C in case of failure in the Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford cases.
Having arrived in Italy in 2022 from RB Leipzig, Lookman quickly established himself as one of the offensive leaders of La Dea, with 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 appearances across all competitions.
His contract, which runs until June 2026, might not be completed. Barça is not alone in this matter: Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Atlético de Madrid are also closely monitoring the situation.
Hansi Flick has reportedly already informed his management of his desire to attract the Nigerian international, whose value is estimated at 60 million euros by the Bergamo directors. This amount could reportedly drop to around 30 million according to recent information.
FC Barcelona will, however, have to deal with its financial constraints to hope to complete the operation in the coming weeks.
