Towards a FCBE–presidential movement alliance? Aboubakar Yaya rules nothing out
Former Minister Aboubakar Yaya, a leading figure in the party Force Cauris for an Emerging Benin (FCBE), does not rule out the possibility of a political rapprochement between his party and those close to power.

In an interview with Guérite TV Monde, the former Minister suggested that all options remain on the table, including an electoral or governmental alliance with the ruling party.
“Does the law forbid these kinds of agreements? No, the law is silent. If we need to find it from the ruling party, we will go with the ruling party, ” he asserted, laying the groundwork for a strategic shift that will not fail to challenge the party’s original supporters.
While no formal decision has yet been made, Aboubakar Yaya confirms that discussions are underway within the political bureau. The aim would be to redefine the party’s line of action in a shifting political landscape as the next elections approach.
This statement paves the way for numerous speculations about the future of the FCBE, long seen as a moderate opposition force.
A possible rapprochement with pro-Talon parties could redraw the national political chessboard, but could also spark internal tensions among those who want to preserve the party’s opposition identity.
To be continued, then…
