Tourism: Paris–Cotonou flights at special fares, Benin rolls out the red carpet for the holidays
The Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Jean-Michel Abimbola, unveiled on November 29 an initiative that’s already making waves: Paris–Cotonou flights at preferential fares for the holiday period.

SUMMARY
This scheme, designed for the diaspora and travelers during the festive season, relies on a simple strategy: making access to the country easier for those who want to celebrate, discover, or reconnect with their roots.
Between December 21, 2025 and January 11, 2026, four rotations are scheduled. Prices are set to be attractive:
– €500 for a round-trip Paris–Cotonou,
– €300 for a one-way Paris–Cotonou.
Operational implementation is handled by Benin Tours S.A., technically supported by LunaJet SA, to ensure secure, smooth, and professional transportation.
A response that aims to lift the usual financial barriers and broaden the flow of arrivals at the end of the year.
A strategic move to boost major cultural events
The initiative comes at the right time as the country is preparing to host two major cultural gatherings. The WeLoveEya Festival will offer, on December 27 and 28, 2025 in Cotonou, an immersion in urban sounds and afrobeat featuring local and international artists. A few days later, Ouidah will come alive to the rhythm of Vodun Days, scheduled from January 8 to 10, 2026, an event dedicated to Beninese culture and spirituality through performances, dances, and various activities.
The government invites everyone planning to spend the holidays in Benin to take advantage of this exceptional measure. Authorities see it as a way to strengthen ties with the diaspora and offer visitors a memorable experience in a country known for the richness of its history, the vitality of its culture, and the hospitality of its people.
Behind the logistical aspect, a broader ambition is taking shape: to offer visitors, the diaspora, and people of African descent an immersion at the heart of a country that fully embraces its hospitality, identity, and cultural energy. The message is clear: Benin throws its doors wide open and wants to make these holidays an international showcase.
