Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his pride on Tuesday following his son’s debut with Portugal’s U15 national team in Croatia.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. made his first appearance for the Seleção U15 during a match against Japan at the U15 World Cup, contributing to a convincing 4–1 victory. The 14-year-old forward came on as a substitute and impressed with his movement and involvement, even though he didn’t get on the scoresheet.

His promising debut quickly caught the attention of his father. Taking to social media, CR7 congratulated his son for taking his first steps with the national team:
“Congratulations on your debut with @selecaoportugal, my son. I’m so proud of you!” Ronaldo wrote, captioning a photo of the young player.

Cristiano Jr. is currently part of Al Nassr’s youth academy and was the only non-Europe-based player called up to the Portugal U15 squad for this month’s tournament. He was accompanied in Croatia by his grandmother, Maria Dolores, and is hoping to feature in Portugal’s upcoming matches against Greece and England.
