Things are going from bad to worse for Real Madrid. Already harshly eliminated from the World Cup after a heavy defeat (4-0) to PSG, the Merengue now have to face two bad pieces of medical news.

In opposition to PSG in the semi-final, Xabi Alonso’s men were dominated from start to finish. The Parisians won thanks to goals from Fabián Ruiz, Ousmane Dembélé, and a double from Gonçalo Ramos, sealing an unremitting score.

As if this debacle wasn’t enough, The Athletic reveals that Endrick has relapsed from his muscle injury contracted last May. The 17-year-old forward is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Another cause for concern: Trent Alexander-Arnold, who arrived this summer from Liverpool, will undergo medical exams in Madrid. The English right back is feeling muscle discomfort in his right leg and could, also, miss several important matches.

Absent against PSG, Alexander-Arnold played in the quarterfinal against Borussia Dortmund (3-2 win), but had to be substituted during the game. So, Real Madrid ends this world campaign on a sour note, between sporting disappointment and medical uncertainties.
