Liverpool: Salah in talks with Slot about his future
Arne Slot and Mohamed Salah are due to meet this Friday to try to ease the tensions born from the Egyptian forward’s explosive statements.

According to the Daily Mail, Arne Slot, Liverpool’s coach, had a decisive exchange with Mohamed Salah on Friday morning. The Dutch manager had already chosen to do without his star forward for the Reds’ trip to Inter Milan’s pitch in the Champions League this week.
This sidelining comes in an electric atmosphere, after a resonant interview given last Saturday by the Egyptian international. Salah denounced a lack of consideration, saying he had been “sacrificed” and no longer had “any relationship” with his coach.
Comments that have revived rumours of an imminent departure, some even going so far as to suggest that the league match against Brighton this weekend could be Salah’s last in a Reds shirt.
Questioned at a press conference, Slot confirmed that a decisive discussion would take place: « I am going to have a discussion with Mo this morning, and the outcome of that conversation will determine the situation for tomorrow. » Before adding : « I have no reason not to want him to stay, if that can be a first answer. »
