In a recent interview with Gh Page, Ghanaian businessman Shatta Bandle — known for his extravagant style and self-proclaimed title as “the richest man in Africa” — shared surprising details about his unusual love life.

Married to three women, father of two children and expecting a third, Shatta Bandle claims he has never needed to make the first move in love.

“I have three wives. I have two children, but one of them is currently pregnant. I welcomed my second child last week. It’s normal,” he said with his trademark confidence.

He explained that his first child was with his first wife, the second with his second wife, and that his third wife is about to give birth.

A divisive love philosophy

More than his bustling family life, it is his comments on women that raised eyebrows. “I have never chased a woman in my life. I never chase — women chase me,” Shatta Bandle declared, describing himself as a “romantic” nicknamed Lover Boy.

According to him, women approach him first, and he simply “observes them carefully” before making a “wise choice.”

Claiming to be highly sought after, particularly in Ghana and Nigeria where he says he enjoys strong popularity, Shatta Bandle added:

“When we go to Lagos, they call me Lover Boy. Many women make advances to me.”

His candid, and at times boastful, way of discussing relationships has sparked mixed reactions. Some admire his honesty and his challenge to traditional ideas of marriage, while others criticize what they see as arrogance or provocation.
