Davido doesn’t want his children in show business.
In an interview, Davido explained that he would prefer to see his children join Deji Adeleke’s family business, while remaining open to their choices.

Nigerian singer Davido said that he would prefer to see his children thrive outside the entertainment industry, despite his immense success in music. A guest on the famous program Breakfast Club, the artist explained that he envisioned a professional future within his father Deji Adeleke’s companies. A choice motivated by the difficulties he himself faced before making his mark on the international stage.
Davido looked back on a formative period of his life, recalling his father’s initial lack of support for his musical career. A situation he acknowledges was difficult to live through: “The fact that my father didn’t want me to make music really affected me, until he understood how determined I was.” Asked about the future of his children, the singer was clear: “Let them go to work with my father. Every Christmas, he brings all his grandchildren together, and I see that despite all he possesses, his true happiness is being surrounded by them.” If he favors this path, Davido nevertheless asserts that he will not oppose their choices: “I wouldn’t want to impose on them what I lived through. My daughter already sings and dances.” Between family heritage and individual freedom, the artist primarily wishes to offer his children a calmer environment than the one he knew.
