The bill received 87 votes in favor and 22 against, with no abstentions, allowing it to clear the first stage before substantive consideration.
The reform is led by Aké Natondé, president of the parliamentary group l’union Progressiste le Renouveau, and Assan Séïbou, president of the parliamentary group Bloc Républicain.
