SUMMARY

The stage is set for Africa’s young talents. The draw for the 2026 U15 African School Football Championship took place this Thursday in Harare, officially launching the competition scheduled from 6 to 10 April. Eight selections are in the running in this fourth edition held in Zimbabwe. They have been split into two groups of four teams, with a major stake: only the teams finishing top of their group will advance to the semi-finals.

Entering only in the men’s tournament as the UFOA-B zone champion, Benin inherits a particularly tough group. The players coached by Séverin Danha will have to face Tanzania, the title holder, as well as Senegal and Zambia. In the other group, the host country, Zimbabwe, will face Morocco, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The matches will be held at Gateway High School, the venue for this competition dedicated to the next generation of African football. The tie promises to be intense, with tightly contested clashes from the group stage and a place in the semi-finals up for grabs after a first round with no room for error.

The full draw:

Group A

  • Zimbabwe
  • Morocco
  • Uganda
  • DR Congo

Group B

  • Zambia
