BTS breaks a record at SoFi Stadium after 1.92 million fans in North America

BTS completed the North American leg of its world tour “Arirang” on Sunday, September 6, in Los Angeles after 31 sold-out concerts in 12 cities and approximately 1.92 million spectators. The South Korean group concluded this segment with four dates at SoFi Stadium, where it also set a record for cumulative attendance since 2021.

According to BigHit Music, cited Tuesday, September 8 by the Yonhap agency, the four concerts on September 1, 2, 5, and 6 gathered approximately 282,000 people in Los Angeles. With the four shows already held at the same stadium in 2021, BTS now has eight concerts at SoFi Stadium and a total of around 496,000 spectators.

This series makes the septet the act that has given the most concerts in the venue since its opening, according to figures provided by the group’s agency. The schedule for the four September dates is also confirmed by SoFi Stadium and by the Weverse platform, which ensured the live broadcast of the concerts.

The Los Angeles shows were also streamed online in 177 countries and regions, according to BigHit Music. The end of the North American tour comes after a five-month journey including stops in Tampa, El Paso, Mexico City, New York, Toronto, and Chicago.

A tour finale marked by Jung Kook and RM

The recent evenings have also featured several moments widely discussed by fans. On September 1st, the audience celebrated Jung Kook’s birthday with golden lights, referencing his solo album Golden. During the last concert, on September 6th, fans anticipated RM’s birthday, born on September 12th, by lighting up the stadium in blue, a color associated with his album Indigo.

During “Body to Body,” a track from the album Arirang, part of the audience also waved South Korean flags as the traditional melody “Arirang” was incorporated into the performance. The scene was highlighted by several Korean media outlets in their reports on the end of the tour.

The group had announced in January a 2026-2027 tour of more than 70 dates, described as the largest of their career. SoFi Stadium had then confirmed four concerts in Los Angeles for September, following the collective return of the seven members to the stage. The tour notably included a stop at the Stade de France in July.

After North America, BTS is set to continue the tour in South America starting October 2 in Bogota, followed by scheduled stops in Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. This new leg is expected to extend a tour that has become one of the main international pop events of the year for the group and its fandom, ARMY.
